Clarity4Couples Privacy Policy
Last updated August 20, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Clarity4Couples ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you use our website, questionnaires, and AI analysis services (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy describes those practices. When you create an account we ask you to review and accept it as a separate, affirmative step, alongside our Terms of Service and our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you register, we collect information such as your name, email address, and password.
Mobile Phone Number (Optional): If you choose to enable text message (SMS) delivery of two-factor authentication security codes, we collect the mobile phone number you provide for that purpose. Providing a mobile phone number is optional and is not required to create an account or use the Services.
Quiz Responses and AI Analysis: In addition to questionnaire responses, we collect your answers to our quizzes, and we store the AI analysis generated at your request, which contains inferences drawn from your answers.
Partner-Use Screening Responses: Before you can send a quiz or questionnaire to a partner, we ask a short set of eligibility questions. We store your answers and the resulting determination so that we can apply it consistently and detect attempts to work around it. These answers are used only for that purpose, are never shared with the partner you named, and are deleted along with the rest of your account data if you request deletion.
Recipient Email Addresses: If you send a Partner Share or purchase a gift, we collect the email address you provide for the recipient in order to deliver the invitation or claim link and any related reminders. We do not use a recipient address for marketing, and if the invitation or gift is never claimed we delete the address once it is no longer needed to deliver it.
Support Communications: If you contact us through our support chat or submit a support ticket, we collect the content of that conversation, which is hosted by our support provider. Please do not paste your questionnaire answers into a support conversation.
Payment Information: When you make a purchase, our third-party payment processor collects your payment card details. We do not store full payment card numbers on our own servers.
Questionnaire Responses: We collect the answers you submit through our relationship questionnaires. These responses are encrypted so that only you can access them directly, unless you choose to share them with someone else.
Usage and Technical Data: We automatically collect certain information when you use the Services, including your IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, typically through cookies and similar tracking technologies.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: provide and maintain the Services; process payments and refunds; generate AI-based analysis for purchasers of that service; communicate with you about your account or purchases; deliver one-time security codes and account security notifications if you have opted in to text messaging; send you promotional communications where you have opted in or where applicable law otherwise permits; improve and secure our website; comply with legal obligations; and analyze anonymized data to develop new questionnaires and improve our offerings.
4. AI Analysis and Data Anonymization
When you request an AI analysis, your questionnaire answers are pseudonymized -- separated from your name and email address and identified only by a random ID -- before being submitted to our AI model provider. The AI model processes your anonymized responses solely to generate your personalized analysis. We do not permit staff to browse customer responses. A small number of authorized personnel can technically access stored data where strictly necessary to operate the Services -- for example to investigate a security incident, correct a data-integrity problem, or comply with a legal obligation -- and any such access is limited, logged, and never used to build marketing profiles. Authorized personnel may access aggregate statistics -- which do not contain your responses and cannot be linked back to you -- for purposes such as improving our Services and developing new questionnaires, as described in Section 3 above. We do not use the text of your responses for marketing.
We generate AI analysis using Amazon Bedrock. Under the configuration we use, the provider of the underlying model does not receive your submissions. Amazon Web Services may retain submissions temporarily for safety and abuse-prevention purposes in accordance with its own policies. We select AI providers that maintain appropriate data protection standards.
5. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Services, including payment processors, cloud hosting providers, and our AI model provider. These third parties are bound by data-protection terms requiring them to safeguard your information and to process it on our behalf in order to provide their service to us. Some of them also process limited data for their own security, fraud-prevention, and legal-compliance purposes under their own policies.
These providers currently include Stripe (payment processing), Amazon Web Services (cloud hosting, database storage, email delivery, and the Amazon Bedrock AI model service), and Zoho (customer support ticketing and the support chat feature on our website). We may update this list as our providers change.
Sharing with a partner, at your direction. If you use Partner Share, the answers and results you choose to share are disclosed to the specific person you designate. This never happens automatically. If you are the recipient of a Partner Share, your own answers are never disclosed to the sender unless you affirmatively approve it, and you may withdraw that approval at any time.
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Clarity4Couples, our users, or others.
6. Data Security
We use encryption and other industry-standard security measures to protect your questionnaire responses and personal information. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information and your questionnaire and quiz responses for as long as you maintain an account with us, regardless of whether a membership is active. Deactivating your account does not delete anything; it restricts access to certain features and preserves your data so that you can reactivate later and pick up where you left off.
You can delete your account yourself from your account settings. We email a confirmation link first, and nothing is scheduled until you use it. Once you confirm, your account is scheduled for deletion 30 days after your original request and locked in the meantime; you can cancel at any point before then by signing back in. After that, and except where retention is required for legal, tax, or regulatory purposes, we permanently delete your account and all data associated with it. This includes your name, email address, any mobile phone number, your questionnaire and quiz responses, and any AI analysis generated for you.
Deletion is permanent and irreversible. We cannot restore your account, recover your responses, or reactivate the account once deletion is complete. If you want to keep a copy of your responses, print them from your account before confirming deletion.
Copies held in our routine encrypted backups are deleted, or expire on the backup retention cycle, no later than six months after your request. While data remains only in a backup it is not accessed or used for any purpose.
If you have an active membership when you confirm deletion, we schedule it to stop at the end of the period you have already paid for, so you are not charged again. Deactivating your account is different: it does not cancel your membership unless you choose that option when you deactivate.
Aggregate and statistical information that we derived before your deletion request, which does not identify you and cannot be linked back to you or to your account, is not personal information and is not affected by deletion.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion of your personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; and request a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@clarity4couples.com.
9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our website, remember your preferences, and analyze site traffic. You can control cookie settings through your browser, though disabling cookies may affect certain features of the Services.
Our customer support chat feature, provided by Zoho, also sets cookies in order to operate. Where required by applicable law, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
10. International Data Transfers
If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers, including our AI model provider, operate. By using the Services, you consent to this transfer.
11. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have collected information from a minor, we will take steps to delete it.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
13. Text Messaging (SMS)
If you opt in to receive two-factor authentication security codes by text message, we use your mobile phone number solely to deliver those codes and related account security notifications. We do not use your mobile phone number for marketing, and we do not sell, rent, or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We share your mobile phone number with our telecommunications and cloud service providers only to the extent necessary to transmit these messages to you. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Message frequency varies based on your account activity, and message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by removing your mobile number in your account security settings. For help, reply HELP to any message or contact us at support@clarity4couples.com. Additional terms governing our text messaging program are set out in Section 23 of our Terms of Service.
14. Email Communications
We use your email address to send you transactional messages necessary to operate your account, including purchase receipts and billing notices, password reset and account security messages, confirmations of changes to your account details, and Partner Share invitations and notifications. These messages are part of the Services and are sent for as long as your account remains active.
Where you have opted in, or where applicable law otherwise permits us to do so, we may also use your email address to send promotional messages such as newsletters, product announcements, and special offers. You may opt out of promotional email at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any such message, through the email preference settings in your account, or by contacting us at support@clarity4couples.com. Opting out of promotional email does not stop transactional messages, and does not change your text message preferences, which are managed separately as described in Section 13 above. Additional terms governing email communications are set out in Section 24 of our Terms of Service.
We do not sell or rent your email address, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share it with our email delivery provider only to the extent necessary to send you the messages described above.
15. Consumer Health Data
Some of the information you provide through our questionnaires and quizzes may qualify as consumer health data under laws such as the Washington My Health My Data Act and the Nevada consumer health data law. Our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, available through a separate link on our homepage, describes the categories of consumer health data we collect, how we use and share it, and the specific rights you have with respect to it, including the rights to confirm whether we hold such data about you, to withdraw your consent, and to request its deletion.
